For those of you who don't already know I've been working for the Wilderness Society for the last few weeks, and slightly to my surprise, I'm loving it.  In a way it's exactly the same as my last job, except without the bad bits! I really miss home.  My whanau had a big gathering in the weekend to celebrate an important event and I was the only one missing.  It was pretty hard for me. That's my average hourly wage since I got here.  It's quite odd earning $40 an hour one moment and then $10 an hour the next.  But it's better than nothing.  I just hope the number of hours that contribute towards that figure increase themselves somewhat.

I'm working hard out with the Black GST campaign.  On Sunday night went to this awesome gig at the Spanish Club in Fitzroy. It's called Get Green and was produced by the US Ad Council in the interests of raising awareness about important issues. Yesterday the Greens launched the first ever multimedia manifesto CD Rom, called Green Spin.  It contains video, music, info about the Greens and their policies.  The best bit about this CD is that it means you can listen to all of the Green MPs talking direct to you, without the spin.

I must congratulate Jeanette on her handling of this one.  The Green reaction definitely shows a political maturing.  In 1999 and 2002 there were a number of leaflets distributed about the Greens.
