I stand here as a proud Southern woman, a feminist, a socialist and a trade unionist, committed to Labour Principles and values, to Te Tiriti o Waitangi as a covenant between two peoples; to the causes I believe in; a New Zealand which is strong, fair-minded, inclusive, proud of itself and its place in the world. snip
